Baby Weights

You've heard me preach that compound exercises combined with lifting heavier weights will help you build the most athletic muscle.

Plus it activates the most anabolic hormones in the body that also help you grow stronger.

I still believe that.

However my good friend Vince Delmonte has put on some size using what he calls "Baby Weights".

Granted he's not as strong as me and others that lift heavy, but that's not his goal.

His goal is simply to have bigger muscles.

If you're not concerned about strength & performance you can certainly put size on with Volume Training or lifting lighter weights for higher reps.

Vince shows you how on this page below.

P.S.  Check out what 3X Mr. Olympia Frank Zane says about heavy weights vs lighter weights.

"The truth I"ve discovered is that you don't have to lift enormous weights to grow muscle.  By using stricter form, slower negatives, and stretching between sets  you can get an incredible pump in all your workouts.

Numbers are an abstraction, especially to the muscles.  Your body doesn't know the absolute weight of what you lift, it only recognizes how heavy it feels.  The secret is to make lighter weights feel heavier."
