Bench Monsters
Published: Fri, 03/28/14
When I was a freshman in high school I couldn't
even bench press 135 lbs. Today I'm not a
world record holder or anything but I'm proud to
say I've put up 450 lbs and over 600 pounds
with a shirt.
How did I do it? I studied other successful
bench monsters and I copied them!
It's pretty simple actually. If you want to get
results learn from those who have already had
success.
Learning from others is the most important part
of getting out of your old routine... the routine
that isn't getting you the results you want.
That's why I'd like to introduce to you two
of the men that have been instrumental in my
own bench press success.
First there's Ted Arcidi who In 1985 shocked
the power lifting world by becoming the first
person to officially bench press 705.5 lbs.
The other beast of a man is Ken Lain who had
a Record Breaking Crusade in the Bench Press
becoming the first man to set all time world
record (bench press) lifts in the three heaviest
weight classes: 242-pounds, 275-pounds and
super heavyweight.

Personally I have never met either of these two
men face to face but I have been able to learn
from them and you can too.
On the next page I share the workouts,
techniques and audio interviews that helped
me achieve my own bench press success.
Keep training hard,
Mike Westerdal
