The Truth about Circuit Training [important]

An exercise circuit is one completion of all exercises in a program.
A lot of the times you'll see bodyweight movements used for circuits.
When one circuit is complete, you can take a short break and than
repeat all the exercises for the next circuit. You shouldn't take much
of a break between exercises at all. Save the break until the end of
the circuit.
Advantages: This is a huge time saver for a workout. It allows you
to combine resistance training with your cardio since your heart
rate is elevated most of the workout.
It has also been proven that there is an afterburn effect that increases
your metabolism for the next 48-hours.
Disadvantages: Performing circuit training at a commercial gym using
several stations is unrealistic due to the waits and other people using
machines and equipment.
That's why a lot of people do these workouts at home with just
bodyweight. The problem with this single approach is that you're

not building that much muscle without more resistance than just your
bodyweight. Sure you can get fit and burn some fat but without
some weight training you're not going to pack on muscle too.

When you have more muscle your body utilizes more energy to operate,
