How to Sumo Deadlift
Published: Fri, 09/07/12
The deadlift is an incredible exercise for developing overall strength.
Personally I pull with the conventional style. My feet are close and
my grip is right outside my knees.
One way to increase your conventional deadlift is to rotate pulling
movements and it's a principle of the conjugate method.
For example you can try some other exercises like rack pulls,
stiff legged deadlifts or even sumo deadlifts. Just don't do the same
max effort exercise every single week or you will fry your CNS.

Now I suck at the sumo deadlift but it's a great exercise to add to
your tool belt, so I'm going to pass the puck to Eric Cressey to
lead today's lesson.
He put together a great article and video showing you exactly
how to perform the sumo deadlift. Check it out at the blog.
