Skip breakfast to build lean muscle??

This is totally counter-intuitive but there's research to back it up.
Is it actually possible to build muscle and burn fat by
skipping breakfast?

There's a lot more to gaining muscle and burning fat than just
calories in vs. calories out. If it were that simple all the overweight
calories in vs. calories out. If it were that simple all the overweight
people who drink diet soda, skim milk and eat fat free cookies
would be lean and sexy right?
