Dumbest thing my trainer ever said (I fired him)

You know what always pissed me off? It was coaches and trainers that
would tell you that you need to workout with just one kind of
training system and just one goal in mind.
They would ask me what my goal was. I would say that I wanted to
build big, dense, ripped muscle that I wanted to be strong, to be good at
sports and I wanted to lower my body fat but they would just laugh right
in my face.

Once they caught their breathe they'd tell me to pick one goal and we'd
focus on that. Forget that.....I fired the numb skull every time.
I never listened to those trainers or coaches.
As a former college football player I really did want to get bigger so I could
play outside linebacker. I wanted to cut some bodyfat so that I would
be faster and pull more chicks around campus.
Of course I wanted to be stronger since we got tested in all our lifts.
As an athlete I had to keep my speed, mobility, flexibility and agility as well.

Let me tell you, this is where it's at.
With Hybrid Training you have two powerbuilding days per week.
This is where you get to lift heavy with big compound lifts like the bench,,
squat and deadlift. You take your time between sets. After the main lifts
you finish the workouts with some medium rep exercises to work on
building not just strength but muscle as well.
Now if you're like me you're pretty tight and a little bit banged up from
all the heavy lifting and sitting too much during the day.
Plus you hate long distance running or doing 45-60 minutes on a boring
cardio machine right?
Well during your Hybrid Cardio sessions you use really light weights and get
your cardio done with your lifting in about 30-minutes. This actually
combines type 1 and type II muscle fiber training in the same workout.
You also get a specialization day where you can pick a lagging bodypart
and pound it. I get it, we all want bigger guns or need some extra time
to work on some trouble spots.
Now this is just phase 1 of the program. There's a phase 2 which
includes barbell complexes and lots of other cool things that have been
really effective for me.
